The Keep Kids Safe in Dance Mission
How to become a child safe organisation in dance
To become a Child Safe Organisation, dance schools need to implement the new minimum child safe standards into their business. Many schools will already have some elements of the standards embedded in their business, some schools will need more help and support.
Keep Kids Safe In Dance will spend time with studio owners to analyse their current business and suggest the changes and/or improvements they need to make. Keep Kids Safe In Dance will provide all dance specific resources for each dance school and support the implementation of these. Keep Kids Safe In Dance can support and/or provide training for staff and volunteers and can provide ongoing support to schools.
What Does Keep Kids Safe In Dance Aim To Achieve?
Awareness is key! Many of the industry’s most important performers, choreographers, educators, mentors and artists have jumped on board to help spread the word that abuse of any kind will not be tolerated any longer in our industry. It’s time to stand together and start this conversation. At Keep Kids Safe In Dance we aim to ensure everyone in the dance industry knows about the new compulsory minimum child safe standards.
Keep Kids Safe In Dance provides free advice to studio owners on how and where to find information and resources on the compulsory minimum child safe standards.
